Looking Back on History, Anticipating the Future, and Standardizing Practice—Yingda Young Lawyers' 'Thought Education Theme Activity' Successfully Concludes
In response to the requirements of the Hubei Provincial Lawyers Association, the Department of Justice, and the Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Justice to strengthen the training of young lawyers in various firms, Yingda Law Firm earnestly implemented the spirit of the relevant activities of the competent authorities. On August 8, 2020, the firm organized a "Thought Education Theme Activity" for all young lawyers. The event took place at 9:00 a.m. in the firm's conference room, with Director Long Xuying, Director Li Ming, Deputy Director Liu Lixin, Deputy Director Jin Lu, and 27 young lawyers in attendance.
The theme education activity was presided over by Deputy Director Jin Lu, who emphasized the profound significance of the event. He stated that the realization of the historical mission of the Party in the new era depends on the efforts of contemporary youth. The young lawyers present, having undergone professional legal education and a rigorous screening process to become outstanding lawyers at Yingda, constitute an essential part of the nation's legal construction and the firm's development as a reserve force. The theme activity aimed to build a team of young lawyers at Yingda with strong professionalism, firm legal beliefs, and noble character.
The official start of the theme presentation began with Founder and Director Long Xuying reviewing the challenges faced during the firm's early days. He shared the 25-year journey of Yingda Law Firm and the exemplary qualities of the older generation of Yingda lawyers who faced challenges with resilience. Using personal case experiences, Director Long educated the young lawyers, stating, "Law is a dry discipline, choosing law means enduring more loneliness than others. The legal profession requires dedication and hard work. Stay steadfast, diligent, make steady progress, and lay a solid professional foundation." Director Long emphasized the importance of combining individual interests with the collective, urging young lawyers to be grateful and uphold a strong sense of duty. After Director Long's presentation, the conference room echoed with thunderous applause, and several young lawyers shared their experiences and insights.
Subsequently, Deputy Director Liu Lixin delivered a presentation on how young lawyers should correctly handle relationships with clients. He emphasized the need for mutual respect and understanding in interpersonal interactions. Liu Lixin pointed out that as legal professionals, the primary responsibility is to solve legal problems for clients. He advised young lawyers to handle relationships with clients by diligently fulfilling their duties and responsibilities. During the learning process, several young lawyers sought advice from Deputy Director Liu Lixin on issues related to client relationships, and he provided answers and solutions.
In the afternoon, lawyers Song Hao and Liu Jie introduced and shared insights on the firm's capital market-related business. They highlighted issues and solutions to be considered during the non-litigation process. Keeping pace with the continuous development of the economy and society, Yingda Law Firm actively innovates and expands its capital market-related business. Under the leadership of Director Li Ming and Deputy Director Jin Lu, the firm has continually explored and thrived in capital market activities. Over the years, the firm has successfully handled various business matters, including IPOs, overseas listings, foreign mergers and acquisitions, and corporate bankruptcies, achieving positive results.
As the event neared its conclusion, many young lawyers expressed that the theme education was meaningful. It provided them with a deeper understanding of the firm's development history and the arduous and outstanding qualities of the older generation of Yingda lawyers. As young legal professionals in an era that emphasizes and promotes the rule of law, they consider themselves fortunate to be part of Yingda, a collective filled with love and hope. The young lawyers expressed their hope for the firm to organize more similar events in the future to not only enhance their professional capabilities but also strengthen the ideological education of young lawyers and promote closer unity within the firm.
The Yingda Young Lawyers' "Thought Education Theme Activity" is planned to last for five weeks. The upcoming activities will include lectures by professors from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, team-building activities, and themed discussions for young lawyers' self-critique. It is believed that the young lawyers at Yingda will overcome challenges and continuously improve their professional qualities and practice skills through this theme education activity.
