On August 13, 2009, Attorney Li Ming from our firm received an esteemed invitation to participate in the 8th China Lawyers Forum held at the Century City Joy Zone International Conference Center in Chengdu. Co-hosted by the All China Lawyers Association and the People's Government of Chengdu, the forum was attended by prominent leaders, including Vice Minister of Justice Zhao Dacheng, President of the All China Lawyers Association Yu Ning, and Mayor of Chengdu Ge Honglin. Over 1,300 participants, including lawyers, renowned scholars, and members of the media from 32 provinces and regions across the country, graced the event.
The 8th China Lawyers Forum took place against the backdrop of the international financial crisis, with a focus on the theme "Mission, Responsibility, Development—Lawyers Serving the Stable and Rapid Development of the National Economy." The forum aimed to deeply discuss the mission entrusted to the legal profession in the new era, the social responsibilities borne by the legal industry, and the promotion of significant issues in the development of modern legal services. The scale, diversity of participants, and high level of engagement made this forum the largest in its history.
