On the morning of December 28, 2013, the Advanced Seminar on Evidence Rules in Intellectual Property Litigation was grandly convened at the Academic Lecture Hall 120 of the Law School of Wuhan University. The conference was jointly organized by the Law School of Wuhan University, the Research Center for Civil and Commercial Legal Sciences of Wuhan University, and the Intellectual Property Law Research Institute of Wuhan University. Professor Wu Handong, President of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and President of the Intellectual Property Research Association of the China Law Society, Judge Wang Yanfang from the Intellectual Property Division of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Justice Dong Weiwei from the Intellectual Property Division of the Higher People's Court of Hubei Province, Professor Xiao Yongping, Dean of the Law School of Wuhan University, Professor Meng Qinguo, Professor Zhang Lian from the Civil and Commercial Law Research Office of Wuhan University, and Professor Ning Lizhi, Director of the Intellectual Property Research Institute of the Law School of Wuhan University, attended the meeting. Representatives from various courts, industry representatives from the Business Software Alliance (BSA), Microsoft, Autodesk, and students from Wuhan University actively participated in the conference. Representatives engaged in lively and in-depth discussions on four main topics: "Application of Evidence Rules in Determining Technical Facts," "Application of Evidence Rules in Determining Intellectual Property Infringement," "Application of Evidence Rules in Intellectual Property Discharge and Defense," and "Application of Evidence Rules in Intellectual Property Damage Compensation."
